  This provider has no vacancies for children aged between 2.5 years and 5 years. Presently, we have no vacancies, however parents who wish to use the service for children who are 2 and a half in September can register now.

  This provider is registered for 24 places and is staffed for 18 places.

What we do

Caban Kingsland is a limited by guarantee community interest company providing Bilingual Early Years educational provision based in Kingsland Holyhead.
We pride ourselves in delivering quality educational experiences that take a child centred approach. The contributions of family and the wider community strengthens or aims and objectives to ensure that children are given the best possible start.
If you are looking for a starting point for your child/ children as they begin their educational journey why not register with us? All practioners have a wealth of experience and qualifications in early years education and care.

Who do we support

We provide care from two and a half to five years.
You should register your child with us to start at 2 and a half.
Our playgroup service is for children from two and a half until they are due to start their prospective nursery class. Each child registered with us becomes funded for their playgroup sessions from the first term after their third birthday.
We also provide wrapround care for children who are in school nursery.
We are registered for the childcare offer in Wales and would be happy to support you in checking if you are able to receive funding for your wraparound sessions.
We have a fulling inclusive ethos in the setting and support all children regardless any additional needs. We will help and support to ensure that all children have the best time with us.

Can anyone use this service?

We use Makaton wherever possible.

  Our opening times and availability

We are available: term time only.

We are available during the following school terms:

  • Spring term
  • Autumn term
  • Summer term

We can provide wrap around care. We collect children from the school Nursery at 11am. They bring their own packed lunch.

Presently we are registered with CIW for sessional care only. However in future we plan to look into extending hours by registering as full day care.

  About our service

Provider has access to support and advice for Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
We are supported by the Local Authority Early Years Teacher. We are supported by Referals for Anglesey County Council.
Provider has a working knowledge of the ALN Act and Person Centred Planning approaches
Staff have accessed relevant ALN/disability training in the last 2 years?
Recently staff were trained by the Early Years team at Anglesey County Council's new system in support of identifying Additional Learning Needs. The process for reporting and tracking. Staff are trained in "May I Join you" and Speech and Language training and support has been continual. Formal training through Anglesey County council and continual personal development through Early Years TV.
