  This provider has no vacancies for children aged between 2 years and 12 years. We are now full until September 2026, we have a substantial waiting list which we have now closed to new applicants.

  This provider is registered for 46 places and is staffed for 36 places.


What we do


Caerleon Cherubs is situated in Caerleon Townhall and has been established for over twenty years. We provide high quality childcare to the local community and offer a warm nurturing environment to children in our care. we promote diversity and welcome all children regardless of gendre, religion or ethnicity, we offer a wide range of inclusive activities that celebrate different festivals and beliefs and children are provided with good quality resources that represent them and their families. We recently had a CIW inspection that rated us as good in all areas, we are have completed our Quality for all assessment this year and are due to start the gold snack award scheme the setting offers breakfast club, sessional day care, and wraparound which includes lunch club and drop off and collection from the local school. we are term time only and operate between 7.45 and 3.05 each day. All staff provided training to acheive at least level 3 CCLD .

Who do we support

We are a non-for profit playgroup setting that offers breakfast club, sessional day care, and wraparound which includes lunch club and drop off and collection from the local school. our sessions run from the ages of 2 to 4 and breakfast club ranges from ages 4 to 12 years old. Our opening times are term time only and operate between 7.45 and 3.05 each day. 3 staff who make up the managment team have level 5 CCLD, two staff members have level 3 CCLD training and two staff members are working towrads their level 3 CCld. we provide provide flying start places and are able to to provided one to one support where necessary with support from the local authority where applicable.

Can anyone use this service?

our provision is available to all children, however, we are situated on the first floor and have no lift access so not suitable for wheelchair users.

We are available during the following school terms:

  • Spring term
  • Autumn term
  • Summer term

We can provide wrap around care. Caerleon Cherubs offer a wrap around service to Charles Williams School, contact us for details.

  About our service

Provider has access to support and advice for Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
We offer Flying Start places and access ALN resources through them or Early Years Wales.
Provider has a working knowledge of the ALN Act and Person Centred Planning approaches
Our ALN team have attended extensive training and have experience supporting children in setting.we have led and anttended PCP meetings as well as social services conferences and meetings.
Staff have accessed relevant ALN/disability training in the last 2 years?
we have employed a new ALN lead. she will deliver in house training to all staff and our training planner for academic year 2025/2026 focuses on ALN training and behaviour managment.
Outside space
We use the local community garden as our outdoor space.

We will use nappies that are provided by parents and would use cloth nappies if requested.
