What we do

We are a high quality and friendly early years care and education setting, catering for
children aged 2 to 5 years, mainly through the medium of English with the use of some
Welsh. We follow the Foundation learning maintained curriculum which has 5 developmental pathways:
- Belonging
- Communication
- Exploration
- Physical Development
- Well-being

Rhayader Under 5's works within the principles and pedagogy of the Foundation Learning, which highlights the need for a hands on play based approach to learning and giving the children opportunities to learn through first hand experiences.

Who do we support

Children aged 3 and 4 years for Foundation learning sessions and the Free Childcare Offer Scheme
Sessions for 2 Year olds on every afternoon from 12.15
