What we do

We are a Flying Start setting who offer funded childcare to children aged 2-3 years. The setting has recently been successful in Capital funding from the Local Authority, which has enabled us to expanded our numbers to a maximum of 24 children per session. The children within the setting have access to a range of play opportunities, which staff enable through observations and planning. Children visit the forest, nursery garden and school grounds weekly, this supports future transitions from Flying Start to school. Outdoor play is embedded into our daily routine, the door within the childcare room is open throughout each session for the children to choose indoor or outdoor play. Snack is offered to all children, this is on rotation for the children to choose when to eat, creating independent and confident children.

Cylchoedd Meithrin are Welsh-medium playgroups which give children an opportunity to become bilingual (in English and Welsh).
