What we do

Little Steps Ystradgynlais registered in 2016, initially as a playgroup but quickly developing into a Full Day Care and Education provision.

The setting is located in the Glanrhyd area of Ystradgynlais. The nursery setting occupies the first three classrooms of Ysgol Bro Tawe. The school was built in 2012 and is set in glorious grounds in the Upper Swansea Valley. We offer an extensive range of childcare services for children between the ages of 0 and 12 years. In addition, Little Steps delivers the 10 hours per week of funded education offered by Powys County Council for children age 3+ from the term following their third birthday as well as the remaining 20 hours of the Welsh Government Childcare offer in the form of childcare.
Little Steps has been engaged with the Flying Start Programme in Wales. This entitles families of children age 2 up to 12.5 hours of free childcare per week.
