What we do

We are a small day nursery in the Penylan area of Cardiff that has been open for 30 years. We cater for children from the age of 6 weeks right up until the age of 6. Our setting offers a nurturing family environment. Within our nursery we have 2 main base rooms our Under 2's Room and our older room that caters for children aged 2-3 years and 3+ both of which follow the Four Purpose Curriculum. We understand the importance of children learning through play and children having their own choices of learning experiences. As well as our 2 base rooms we have 3 large gardens one of which is a mud kitchen, an on site kitchen and a dinning area. Our children enjoy the full benefit of outdoor play in all weathers. Our location enables us to take our children on lots of walks in the local community, to visit the parks, the local library and we like to participate in visits to the care home behind the nursery. We offer the 30 hour Childcare Offer here at Playbox for children who are eligible.
