What we do

At Golden Grove Day Care, we provide a warm, welcoming and stimulating environment for children aged 2 to 11 years. Our setting offers high-quality care and wide range of play-based learning opportunities. We ensure that children experience rich, meaningful activities that nurture their curiosity, creativity and well-being.

Children have access to fantastic outdoor areas, including a woodland area perfect for nature exploration and outdoor learning. Our grounds also feature a variety of engaging outdoor equipment, such as climbing frames, a vegetable patch where children can grown and learn about healthy foods and much more to encourage active play.

Our experienced and caring staff are committed to helping every child thrive in a safe and inclusive setting. Each child attending the setting has a personal learning journal, shared with families through the SeeSaw App, allowing parents and carers to stay connected with their child's progress, achievements and daily experiences.

Who do we support

We cater for children aged 2 to 11 year-olds. From 2-year olds beginning their early learning journey, through the Flying Start and Day Care Provision and for school-aged children who need Wraparound and After School provision.

We offer Flying Start places to eligible families, within the catchment area providing high-quality early years provision as part of the Welsh Government Initiative. We offer morning and afternoon sessions. Operating 9:00am - 11:30am or 12:30pm - 3:00pm.

We also offer a Early Drop Off service between 8:00am until 9:00am. Our Day Care operates from 9:00am until 3.20pm, offering both a morning, afternoon or full day session.

Our After School Provision is for children from the age of 2 to 11 years old from 3:00pm until 5.30pm.

We accept the Childcare Offer for Wales (30 hours) and Tax free childcare.

Can anyone use this service?

Children living in a Flying Start catchment area will be offered a funded space. If children are not in the catchment area they are able to access the Golden Grove Day Care, at a rate. Flying Start Outreach spaces are offered but require a referral from Health Visitor.

We are available: term time only. - Early Drop Off - 8:00 - 9:00am - Flying Start - AM 9:00 - 11:30 am / PM 12:30 - 3:00pm - Wraparound - AM 9:00am - 12:45pm / PM 11:15am - 3:20pm (Fri - till 3:00pm) - Full Day - 9:00am - 3:20pm (Fri - till 3:00pm) - After School Provision - 3:00pm - 5:30pm (Mon- Thursday only)

We can provide wrap around care.
