Action for Children Short Break - POPS (Positive Outcome Play Services) - Family support services
What we do
POPS (Positive Outcome Play Services) provides short breaks for children & young people with disabilities within the community or in the child's home, providing them with opportunities to make new friends & enjoy different experiences & offering respite to families/full time carers. Sessions may be 1:1, 2:1 or in a group setting at specific venues or within the local community. Swansea POPS also provide Play Schemes for children. This allows the young people opportunities to enjoy activities of their choice whilst being supported to develop their social, communication and practical life skills.
Who do we support
Young people with disabilities, from the ages of 0 -18 years.
Can anyone use this service?
A referral is needed to access this service - all referrals are via the Social Services Child Care Disability Team, based in Neath Civic Centre.
