Central Library Story Club - Children and young people's activities
What we do
Thursday 11am – 11:45am
Encouraging a child to enjoy reading from an early age has a positive effect on their development and helps to increase educational achievement. It is also a fantastic source of fun and enjoyment for children and their families.
Story Clubs provide an informal and exciting environment to support parents to engage their pre-school children with reading. Come along to one of our participating libraries to meet friends, make friends and enjoy a free fun activity with your child whilst encouraging them to become lifelong book lovers.
At each Story Club children and their carers can join in songs and rhymes, listen to stories and enjoy a craft activity relating to the theme of the week’s story, entirely free of charge!
