What we do
Merthyr Fostering supports a network of foster carers who are trained, approved and supported to care for children and young people from Merthyr Tydfil.
We also inform and guide people who live locally and are interested in becoming a foster carer for Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council.
If you are new to fostering or an experienced carer looking to transfer, we would love you to become part of the Merthyr Tydfil fostering family.
Who do we support
You could become a foster carer, regardless of your age, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, ethnicity, and religion. You can also foster if you have pets, a disability, have children living at home, are a homeowner or a private or social housing tenant.
