What we do
Sȇr Bach Y Cwm delivers provision and care for children aged 2 - 4 year old in three purpose built rooms within Ysgol Golwg Y Cwm. It provides two separate settings which run alongside each other during the Morning and afternoon. We provide care for children who live in the Flying Start catchment area and non Flying start children, and in the 3+ setting we provide education care for all children and 30 hour free childcare for families who are entitled.

Can anyone use this service?
Ser Bach Y Cwm is open for everyone - Your child can attend the Flying Start setting the term after their 2nd birthday (please check eligibility online and complete the relevant form) for children who live out of the Flying Start area please come to the setting directly to speak to the setting leaders (Miss Naomi&Miss Jess) children are able to attend the setting on their 2nd birthday. To access the 3+ setting children are eligible to start the term after their 3rd birthday, please complete the relevant form with Powys admissions and wait for acceptance.

Both settings have an ALNco. Staff are trained and have access to ongoing training to support ALN in the setting. All staff work alongside outside agencies to support ALN children. |

Ser Bach Y Cwm is an English medium language, however some children who attend the setting use English as an additional language. As a setting we support these families by working closely with parents to ensure both them and their children can communicate, understand us, and feel welcome |
