What we do
Day Nurseries provide full day care for up to ten hours a day and take children from birth onwards. Many day nurseries operate in premises that are used solely for the care of babies and children and will usually provide freshly prepared meals and snacks. All facilities and activities provided stimulate and help children to develop.
Day Nurseries provide a friendly environment for babies and young children to be cared for and provide plenty of play and learning opportunities. Different rooms cater for children at different ages or stages of their development, allowing children to grow and progress in a familiar setting.
Who do we support
Full day care for children aged 0-7 in surrounding areas. Mini World provides a wraparound session for children who attend the Flying Start sessions at Mini- Explorers.
Mini World Activities include music sessions, aerobics, Circle Time and Face painting.
The Nursery arranges trips both locally and further afield throughout the year and has visits from local community services such as the Fire Service and local dentists to broaden the children's experience.
Experience/Training/ Qualifications: Staff qualifications include NNEB, NVQ3, 4 or 5 levels, Play Work Level3, and staff undergo continuous training program. The nursery has received a level 5 from the Welsh Food Standards Agency.
