What we do
At Babi Awen, we provide a warm, home-from-home childminding service in Aberystwyth. We are registered with Care Inspectorate Wales and care for children aged 0–12 in a safe, calm and welcoming environment. We follow the children’s interests and enjoy lots of play-based learning. Our days include crafts, stories, baking, music and plenty of time outdoors, whether that’s in the garden, at the park or out exploring locally. We offer flexible care, including holidays and weekends where possible, to support families. As parents ourselves, we understand how important it is for children to feel settled, happy and secure. We have completed all required training and continue to learn and develop.
Who do we support
the resource is for the children in my care, supporting their learning and development through play. It is tailored to their ages, abilities, and individual interests, ensuring all children can engage and benefit from the activity.

We are available: All year round. Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 8:00pm Open all year round (including term time and school holidays). Closed on bank holidays (except by prior arrangement when required).
We can provide wrap around care. We offer wraparound childcare to support working parents, including care before and after school.

We provide a safe, caring home-from-home childminding service for children aged 0–12. Children are supported through play, routine, and positive relationships to help them learn and grow. We are an English-medium setting with some bilingual (Welsh/English) elements, and we also speak Greek and Hungarian. We are registered with CIW and follow all safeguarding and childcare regulations. We work closely with parents and support children with Additional Learning Needs where possible. |
