What we do
My name is Joanna I am a registered Child-minder of Royal Oak childcare services. I provide a service that allows Children to learn, play and develop in a safe secure home based environment. Play will be at the centre of the child’s learning and development.
My family consists myself and my four children. My son’s are aged 25yrs, 15yrs, 12yrs and 8yrs. My house is situated in a quiet street situated at the bottom of Machen Mountain, with ample parking for parents.
We have a large enclosed garden with grassed and patio areas. 10-minute walk to the local park and recreation ground i pick up from several local schools. I also work with an assistant.

Who do we support
My service is open to all children and families, I have 20yrs experience working with children aged 0-16yrs 10 of those years working as a Teaching assistant in Pupil referral units in England and Wales including boarding schools, my area of expertise is Additional learning needs, I also have personal experience raising my own children. I visit the local playgroups in Machen, Trethomas, caerphilly on a weekly basis, I also visit Welsh toddler groups. I take part in other activities such as nature walks as there are many beautiful walks in the local area.
Hours of work are subject to the individual and requests. 6:30am-6pm
I like to work in close partnership with parents to meet the individual needs for each child in my care, and will adapt and negotiate each contract so it meets the needs for parents and children.
