Newport Youth Council - Peer-on-peer sexual harassment support for educat - Children and young people's activities


What we do

We are a group of people aged between 11-25, actively engaged in representing young people’s views and opinions.

With support and guidance from Newport City Council we ensure that young people have a voice and help to shape the future in the city for future generations.

We do this in line with United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and the local authority’s duty to engage with young people. Each area within Wales must facilitate a Youth Council to allow young people to influence local decision making and provide every young person with the platform to make positive change.

Who do we support

Peer-on-peer sexual harassment is a societal issue and this resource can support education settings adopt a whole-system approach to create safe learning environments to prevent peer-on-peer sexual harassment before it occurs.
