What we do

My Name is Elen Chick and I am the Open Access Youth worker for Ysgol Llanidloes, my role is to promote positive mental health by providing emotional and social wellbeing support to young people in the school. I do this through open access sessions - from group work to one to one support for young people throughout their time in the school. Session are designed around the needs of the young person and are based on the principle of voluntary participation.

Other sessions include a weekly lunch time youth information drop-in sessions, and support with the PSE curriculum.

Who do we support

For young people aged 11-25 years of age.

Focusing on Secondary School aged young people (years 7-13) and to young people during transition in the summer term to the high school campus.

Can anyone use this service?

Open Access support, young people can self-refer or one to one sessions can be arranged via the schools Welling Officer.
