BTEC Level 1 in MEDIA & CONTENT CREATION - Education

What we do

This level 1 BTEC course introduces students to the key areas of the creative media sector. The programme comprises of 10 modules, which involves learning about: Design, Photography, Video, Animation, Audio Production, Multimedia, Filmmaking; Editing; Web Design; Photoshop and Camera Skills, including how to use professional equipment & software. We will focus on developing students’ abilities to create unique media products like music videos, podcasts, animated films, photo exhibitions, advertisements and websites.

Successful completion leads to a diploma in Digital Media, equivalent to 3 GCSEs (Grades D-G).

The Media Skills & Content Creation is a BTEC Diploma delivered by Media Academy Cymru (MAC), at Barry Campus.

MAC takes pride in delivering classes in a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere You will learn in a small group of 14 students.

No previous experience is required and there are no formal entry requirements. You will be invited to meet your tutors, so together, you can assess your suitability for the course.

MAC especially welcomes applications from students who have been unable to access similar opportunities elsewhere, are at risk of social exclusion, and are not in education, training or employment.
