What we do

Oak Hill ASD Childcare is dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible out-of-school care for children with autism. We offer a variety of play activities in a welcoming environment, enabling parents and caregivers in the local community to return to work, education, or training while also providing essential respite care.

Who do we support

Children aged 4 - 19 years with a diagnosis of Autism, living or going to school in Newport only.

Anyone, contact with other agencies is required for the registration process.


  Our opening times and availability

We are available: school holiday only. Potentially, we could open for other school holidays if we have funding available.

We are available during the following school holidays:

  • Easter holiday
  • Summer holiday

We are unable to provide wrap around care.

  About our service

Provider has access to support and advice for Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
We only accept children with a diagnosis of Autism.
Provider has a working knowledge of the ALN Act and Person Centred Planning approaches
We are a play-based club focused on the individual interests and needs of each child.
Staff have accessed relevant ALN/disability training in the last 2 years?
All staff receive annual training on communication, behaviour, and individual needs. All staff complete safeguarding group B training, epilepsy awareness, and first aid training.
