What we do

Barnardo’s Cymru has been working in Wales for over a century. Our aim is to reach out to the most disadvantaged children, young people, families and communities in Wales to help ensure that every child has the best possible start in life. We try to ensure that every young person can realise their full potential, whatever the circumstances of their life.

Who do we support

Barnardo’s works with children, young people and families living on the margins of society who are struggling to overcome the disadvantages caused by poverty, abuse and discrimination.

We provided direct support to over 8,000 children, young people and families last year and less intensive support to an additional 2,000.
