Anglessey Youth Service - Peer-on-peer sexual harassment support for education settings - Children and young people's activities


What we do

There are 14 youth clubs throughout the island where young people from the age of 11 to 16 can meet their friends for a chat and relax!

We offer support and guidance as well as providing fun sessions such as cookery, arts and crafts, dance and drama, team games, physical activities and we have an LGBTQ + Club available in every school.

We also present educational issues such as internet safety, First Aid, healthy living etc.

There are five full time School District Youth Development Officers who also work in the secondary schools delivering one to one and group sessions.

They also offer the Duke of Edinburgh Award at every school that is very popular.

There is also an alcohol and substance youth worker on hand to offer help and support to young people.

Who do we support

Peer-on-peer sexual harassment is a societal issue and this resource can support education settings adopt a whole-system approach to create safe learning environments to prevent peer-on-peer sexual harassment before it occurs.
