Warm Wales - Family support services


What we do

Support households across Wales to become warmer, safer and healthier. We will deliver a package of interventions, tailor made to a households’ needs to ensure the root causes of the problem are identified and addressed. By providing free advice, guidance, support and awareness, Warm Wales will reduce the issues created by the energy crisis and bring resilience, sustainability and empowerment to communities across Wales.

"Our mission is to empower people to make the correct choices and decisions for themselves, enabling them to reduce their likelihood of being in fuel poverty and become more resilient".

Partners involved in the scheme include: Warm Homes Fund, North East Wales Care and Repair, Wales & West Utilities, Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, Police, Fire, Wardens and other agencies.

Who do we support

We will look at the following areas of support:
1.Energy Advice - switching tariffs, suppliers or changing payment methods. Sending energy tips leaflets, discussing energy efficiency measures.
2.Fuel debt support- basic income and expenditure to ascertain the level of debt, communication with energy providers to discuss payment options and plans- via three way calls. Complete trust fund or other grant funding applications.
3.Affordable warmth and energy efficiency- heating, providing replacement boilers, central heating systems and insulation to qualifying households ( ECO4, NEST, other grant funding)
4.Behaviour change- Provide energy advice and support to encourage changes in behaviour to reduce energy usage or ensure that heating is being used.
5.Money Maximisation, Water Support and Warm Homes Discount- undertake full benefit checks, using entitledto, to identify any missing benefit entitlement, Check to see if eligible for any further support from Water providers, Dŵr Cymru-

Anyone can contact the service. Referrals can also be made by front line staff by contacting the office.
