Merthyr Tydfil Youth Service - Georgetown Boys & Girls Club - Children and young people's activities


What we do

Georgetown Boys and Girls club run a four session per week universal open access provision for young people and provide a programme of challenging yet enjoyable activities for the social education of young people. The club also runs a additional activities for sport and physical activity, accreditation and health and wellbeing. The club delivers various projects with partners including internet citizenship, YEF and partnership work with youth cymru.
Currently we are running online work and outreach sessions during the covid pandemic and adhering to current policies and procedures to ensure safety and wellbeing of young people.
The setting is an open award centre for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and also delivers accredited training in substance misuse in partnership with Youth Cymru, VAMT, Drug Aid and other agencies to offer accredited training in life skills .

Who do we support

Young people of Merthyr Tydfil aged 11 - 25 years with an emphasis placed upon Young People during key transitional periods in their lives.
