What we do

Safe, emergency accommodation for (mainly) women, and their children, needing a safe home away from domestic abuse (temporarily). A 24 hour staffed Refuge in Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council area. Providing a range of support for women and children to enable them to remain safe from domestic abuse. If you are a male victim of domestic abuse, we have some refuge spaces that may be suitable for you, please get in touch.

Who do we support

(Mainly) Women (age 16+), and their children, who are in emergency need of somewhere safe to stay (temporarily) away from domestic abuse. We will support you to be able to move on safely from Refuge.

Is there a charge to use this service?

Yes - Refuges provide accommodation, there is a rent and service charge to be paid each week. Most of this can usually be paid through claims for Housing Benefit (although this depends on income/circumstances). We support with claims for benefits, and money management.
