What we do

The Childcare Offer for Wales is available in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Funded childcare and nursery education starts the term after your child’s 3rd birthday and continues until your child starts full-time school.
In the Vale of Glamorgan, the Childcare Offer is made up of:
12.5 hours of nursery education in a nursery class in a school
and for eligible parents
17.5 hours of funded childcare per week in term time in a registered childcare setting. In the school holidays, 30 hours per week of funded childcare for 9 weeks per year in a registered childcare setting. Four holiday weeks per year are unfunded.

If your child has additional needs and you are eligible for the Childcare Offer we may be able to fund training for childcare providers, additional childcare staffing, specialist equipment, or physical adjustments to childcare provision.
