What we do
Platfform for Families NPT service can offer a range of supportive and therapeutic interventions that meet the emotional and wellbeing needs of children, young people and their parents. All support offered will be discussed and agreed with the family during an initial assessment.
Our aim is to support children, young people and parents to improve;
# Emotional and mental wellbeing # Lifestyles and behaviours
# Self Confidence & Self Worth # Own and family resilience
Types of presenting issues can include;
# Anxiety/fear/stress/anger # Bullying
# Low self-esteem/self-worth # Depression/low mood
# Low confidence/assertiveness # Emotional distress
Who do we support
Families with children aged 0-25 years in Neath Port Talbot.
The services are intended to help families at the earliest opportunity to stop problems get bigger, however, families who need more help are also welcome to use the services.
Families receiving support from Social Services should speak to their social worker about help they feel they need.

- Can provide specialist support for families of children with disabilities / additional needs
Our Emotional Health & Wellbeing service is available and accessible for children, young people and families with disabilities. Our support can be tailored to suit the needs of the individual. Our premises in the YMCA in Neath have full disabled access both into the building and to the use of all Platfform facilities. Please contact to discuss your child(s) needs further. - Relevant staff have a valid current DBS?
