The Open University - Education

What we do

The Open University is the largest provider of part-time undergraduate higher education in Wales. It is a world leader in providing innovative and flexible distance learning opportunities at higher education level.

We work in communities the length and breadth of Wales to open up learning opportunities to people.

Our work in the community focuses on those who are traditionally under-represented in higher education, such as those living in Community First areas, carers and disabled people.

The Open University’s model of delivering higher education means that we can offer opportunities to students unlike other universities. You do not need qualifications to study with The Open University meaning that we are open to all.

Our partnerships are essential for us to reach students who might benefit from studying with us. We work with organisations to offer a number of flexible learning opportunities providing progression routes into higher education.
