Don’t Touch — Tell! Don't Drink — Think! - Family support services

What we do

Don’t Touch – Tell! and Don’t Drink – Think! continue to play an important role within the primary schools of North Wales promoting ‘keep safe’ messages with regards to drugs and alcohol awareness. It has been welcomed by schools as an important teaching resource in the promotion of health education and safety.

In line with good practice in substance misuse education, Don’t Touch – Tell! and Don’t Drink – Think! incorporate broad life skills approaches, empowering children and young people to make responsible, well-informed decisions about a range of substances.

Who do we support

Don’t Touch – Tell! and Don’t Drink – Think! are fully funded by the Area Planning Board for Substance Misuse, and respond to concerns regarding drinking and the potential dangers to young people associated with used, discarded injecting equipment. The programme targets primary school age children, using characters such as ‘Charlie’ to educate about the potential dangers of touching discarded needles etc, and the development of a ‘keep safe’ strategy for young people.
