What we do
The hub is:
-Social space for people to meet and make new friends, support one another, practice informal English and feel like a human being rather than a label.
-Signposting and support with making calls, filling in forms, where to get help, understanding letters and other non statutory/ immigration support. We call ourselves 'The Missing Friend and Neighbour.'
-Weekly Lunches
-Plant up and potting to take plants, veg and flowers home and grow them at the hub and our community garden
-Basic aid and needs from cookware to bedding to clothing and shoes
-Social events, discos, family meals, day trips, vouchers for the cinema in the holidays
-Working with partners (Training, music, education) to deliver sessions and support
-IT access to search for jobs, online courses
-Children's playroom
-Movie & craft room
-Rest and respite room with hammocks and sofas
-Volunteering opportunities at our new charity shop, finding volunteering opportunities in the community
