Barnardo's Family Wellbeing Service - Family support services


What we do

Delivers targeted wellbeing support and interventions to families and individuals within families who live in the Cardiff area (or whose children live in Cardiff) and who are identified as requiring support for their emotional and mental health and wellbeing. This will include school-aged children, young people (aged 16+) and parents/carers with low level mental health needs; families where there is relationship breakdown or inter-parental conflict; young carers, asylum seekers / refugee families and families affected by bereavement, trauma and loss. The service will also be available for families with disabled family members. Interventions provided include counselling, play therapy and other therapeutic interventions and wellbeing group work.

All Referrals and enquiries should be directed through the Cardiff Family Advice and Support Family Gateway: Tel: 03000 133 133, E-mail: ContactFAS@cardiff.gov.uk Families can self-refer or professionals can refer on behalf of families (with consent).
