What we do

We offer outdoor playdays for children and young people within Caerphilly borough, in-line with the child's right to play enshrined within welsh law.
We offer woodworking groups, for adults and children, making wooden crafts from scrap wood/materials. We're keen to help protect the environment.

Who do we support

Play events and woodworking, are aimed at both children & young people, as well as adults, usually in separate groups.

Is there a charge to use this service?

Yes - All play sessions funded via Caerphilly Play and Welsh Government are FREE, however we kindly ask for suggested donation of £1 per child from families who are able to.

Can anyone use this service?

Turn up and/or professionals can refer if they feel they need to. A referral form is available on our website.

  • Can support children with disabilities / additional needs? Yes Please contact to discuss your child(s) needs further. Children are parent/carer's responsibility at our playdays, we don't offer a 'childminding' service, however a play service for families to attend is on offer. Children are likely to get dirty. Currently our playdays are primarily in Markham, outdoors and in markham leisure centre. We offer ALN and general play sessions.
