What we do

Beechwood College is a purpose-built Further Education College and Residential Care Home for young people aged 16-25 with an Autistic Spectrum Condition that offers residential and day placements, 38 week term time through to 52 week placements. Situated within beautiful grounds on the Vale of Glamorgan coast the College offers excellent facilities.
We offer a full and engaging curriculum to all of our students, meeting their individual needs, strengths and interests, with a focus on learning for life through inspirational, meaningful education. Our on-site clinical team support students' therapeutic and care needs. We are on the Vale of Glamorgan Council's Approved Provider List.

Who do we support

Beechwood College provides inspiring educational opportunities for students between the ages of 16 and 25 who have been formally diagnosed with an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or a learning disability. Some students may also have associated mental health needs or an acquired brain injury.

Is there a charge to use this service?

Yes - Welsh student placements are typically funded by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) and the individual's Local Authority dependent on residential needs. There are other funding streams available on a case-by-case basis.

Can anyone use this service?

Students require a completed referral form which can be obtained through the website www.beechwoodcollege.co.uk or by contacting us directly on 029 2053 2210. Anyone can refer however please seek the support and guidance of the young person’s professional team.
