V21 Cafe @ Fairwater Catering / Cooking (Vision 21) - Adult Day Opportunities

What we do

Located at facilities across South East Wales, Vision 21 (Cyfle Cymru) supports life-changing opportunities for people with learning disabilities to realise their potential.

At the heart of the V21 Sbectrwm Centre is our V21 Café @ Fairwater. This busy café is open to the community, serving food and refreshments to trainees, volunteers and staff, and visitors to the centre.

As a trainee here, you will have the opportunity to develop your catering skills by preparing a daily menu of delicious hot and cold meals. You will gain social skills and increase your confidence as you serve the local community.

You will also receive food hygiene training, and learn all the tasks of working in a café.

Together, we will develop a training plan to suit you. You could learn skills such as:

Food preparation and using kitchen equipment.
Catering for special dietary requirements.
Maintaining, cleaning and wearing kitchen uniform.
Serving hot and cold food and drinks.

Who do we support

People with learning disabilities, age 14+.
