What we do

At Media Academy Cymru (MAC,) we offer a range of creative BTEC courses, which are a bespoke alternative to mainstream education for students. Our vision is that all children and young people in Wales are safe and given opportunities to live meaningful lives. We believe that there should not be any barriers to education and welcome all applications from young people aged 16-25..
The courses on offer for 2023-24 are as follows:
BTEC Level 1: Digital Media in Cardiff and Barry
BTEC Level 1: Filmmaking
BTEC Levels 1 and 3: Game Design and Development
BTEC Level 2: Documentary Filmmaking

Who do we support

Our courses are for people aged 16-25 who are unable to access similar opportunities elsewhere and are not in education, training or employment. All our courses are delivered in a relaxed, inclusive and encouraging atmosphere.
