Thrive Cardiff - Family support services

What we do

Thrive Cardiff is a lively active support group for families that include a child/young adult with a disability. The group is organised and managed by volunteers. The families include children with a range of disabilities, including Autism, ADHD and Down Syndrome etc. It offers parents/carers the opportunity to meet on a social basis, with other families who understand the challenges of having a child with additional needs.
We provide activities and events during school holiday time for our member families. Our activities are for parents and children and young adults.

Is there a charge to use this service?

Depends - We charge a membership fee of £20 a year. Non members are welcome to attend our Friday exclusive soft play session at Antz in Ya Pants, Cardiff for a few sessions without being a member. there is a small charge to attend the session. The activities that we arrange may have a charge but are always subsidised.

Can anyone use this service?

Children and young people with disabilities, as well as siblings who are very important part of the group and their parents / carers.

• Can provide specialist support for families of children with disabilities / additional needs Yes Please contact to discuss your child(s) needs further. We organise events and activities for our member families (who have a child/young adult with a disability). These are primarily during the school holidays. the activities/events are sometimes exclusive to our families or we may attend a mainstream event as a group. We also have a holiday home in the Gower for use by our member families.
