After school learning club for children at Grangetown Hub - Children and young people's activities

What we do

ACE Cardiff is an educational charity working in the Butetown and Grangetown areas of Cardiff to deliver learning sessions to children aged 7 to 11.

Our sessions support children in English, maths and science through fun learning activities. Our aim is to increase the children's enjoyment of learning and to build their confidence and team work skills. Each session is led by one of our qualified tutors and supported by several volunteers. There will usually be one adult for every three children, and sometimes even one-to-one.

Activities include maths based games, story based activities and creative sessions designing or making things. Children are offered the chance to read one-to-one with a volunteer. We also have regular guest visits from organisations such as Techniquest.

Who do we support

All children living local to Grangetown in years 3 to 6 are welcome to our sessions. However, there is an emphasis on helping children who need extra support in certain areas such as reading, maths, confidence, etc. so children who are already excelling in these areas may not benefit as much. You're welcome to contact us to discuss if unsure.
