What we do
I have worked in the childcare sector for the last 25 years. Over this period I have worked in several settings, including primary schools, secondary schools and two nurseries in the Aberystwyth area. In one of the nurseries I was the Chair of the Committee, but then I became the nursery manager. As the manager I have experience in managing a small team of staff, budgeting, paperwork, liaising with outside agencies, talking with parents and planning the curriculum.
I am a qualified nursery nurse and have a current Paediatric First Aid certificate. I have an assessing qualification and an NVQ Level 4 in Management. I also undertook the course before gaining my registration - 'Understanding how to set up a home based childcare business'. I gained my registration in 2017 and have been working as a childminder since. I aim to provide a home from home service where children can feel safe and secure, and where they can grow, develop and reach their full potential.
