What we do

Amelia Trust Farm is a small charity and Care Farm based in Barry. We run an alternative education provision called the GROW programme. The GROW programme supports disadvantaged and vulnerable young people from across South Wales. Many of our young people struggle in mainstream education, and can often feel lost, lonely, and isolated. Some of our young people have neurological disorders such as ADHD or autism, others are in the care system. At Amelia Trust, our aim is to help our young people develop new skills and improve their confidence through a variety of different activities. As well as taking part in therapeutic sessions with our animals, our young people will take care of our animals, get involved in woodland management, learn woodwork skills, take part in health and wellbeing sessions, and learn how to budget and cook meals.
As well as running the GROW programme, we are a visitor attraction that’s open to the public all year round. Our Care Farm has over 20 different species

• Can provide specialist support for families of children with disabilities / additional needs Yes Please contact to discuss your child(s) needs further. The GROW programme is for teenagers aged 13-19. We have worked with children/ young people who have neurological conditions such as Autism and ADHD. However, this would depend on each individual case.
