V21 Woodwork @ Barry (Vision 21) - Adult Day Opportunities

What we do

Located at facilities across South East Wales, Vision 21 (Cyfle Cymru) supports life-changing opportunities for people with learning disabilities to realise their potential.

Get hands-on as you learn the basics of carpentry, joinery and furniture assembly in our V21 Woodwork @ Barry project.

You will work in a supportive environment, alongside our friendly team, while learning to safely use a range of hand tools and power tools.

You learn how to make a wide range of handmade and assembled wooden products for the home and garden.

Together, we will develop a training plan to suit you and you could learn skills such as:

Cutting wood to size.
Drilling, fixing and assembling.
Identifying woodworking tools and equipment.
Preparing and treating wood.
Painting skills.
Using hand and power tools.
Recognising different types of wood.

Who do we support

People with learning disabilities, age 14+.
