We encourage Travellers to take full advantage of education opportunities. We work to raise the attainment and attendance of Gypsy and Traveller pupils. We work in partnership with parents to ensure that they are aware of their rights and responsibilities towards their children's education. We raise awareness of the needs of the Gypsy and Traveller community. We liaise with appropriate agencies and services and provide teaching support Insets and home liaison. We also have a resource centre and materials on loan free of charge. We develop our own culturally reflective materials and offer an outreach service to Roadside families and run homework clubs on the Shirenewton site.
