Scouts Cymru - Children and young people's activities


What we do

As a volunteer organisation we provide through a series of badges and awards, the life experience that the youth of today can benefit from. By being adventurous and exciting within a programme of events and challenges we can shape the ethics and future of our youth members.

We are also very active in recruiting and training adults and placing them into leadership or other support roles.

Who do we support

We accept youth members into the following sections: Beaver Scouts (for 6 to 8 yr) boys and girls, Cub Scouts (8 to 10 1/2 yr boys and girls), Scouts (10 1/2 to 14 yr boys and girls) and Explorer Scouts (14 to 18 yr young people, male and female)

We also recruit adults from 18 years of age to act as leaders and supporters within the Scout Groups.

Is there a charge to use this service?

Depends - No charge for adult volunteers
Youth weekly membership fee (contact for further info)

Can anyone use this service?

Anyone can apply. Youth members are accepted subject to vacancies. Adult leaders are accepted subject to DBS checks and interview.
