REACH (Reach Engage and Change Happens) - Family support services

What we do

REACH (Reach Engage and Change Happens) is a prevention project for 8-17 year olds living in Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent who are at risk of offending or displaying anti-social behaviour.

Each child will work closely with a member of the REACH
team for 3 - 6 months. The work will focus on the issues that children and families are worried about and are becoming growing concerns.

Examples may include:
• At risk of entering the Youth Justice System
• Concerns around anti-social/pro criminal behaviour
• Lack of self esteem
• Substance misuse
• Unsuitable/pro-criminal peers
• Controlling / coercive behaviour
• Anger aggression in the community/school/home
• Exclusions from school linked to concerns in the community
• NEET status (Not in Education Employment or Training)

Who do we support

Staff from any service/agency can make referrals if there are signs that a child is displaying anti-social behaviour or could become involved in offending. We do not accept referrals directly from families.
