Elidyr Communities Trust - Education

What we do

We are a charity offering experiential and practical learning through a blend of land, craft and hospitality activities. In addition to the residential education offered through Coleg Elidyr, we have in recent years, developed provision to support greater independence through our 'Inclusive Lives' programme.
Our holistic approach to living and learning is backed up by a commitment to 'total communication' giving learners and residents every opportunity to understand and be understood, avoiding frustration and anxiety, building opportunities for social interaction.
Multi sensory learning is achieved using the natural rhythms found in land and craft based activities. These engage the senses and can strengthen communication development and help build social relationships.
Along with our dedicated care and education teams we have a strong on-site support team with experts specialising in speech and language, occupational therapy and behaviour support.

Who do we support
