What we do

Playgroups caters mainly for children aged 2½ to 4 years, usually for 2 hours in the morning term time only.

Who do we support

Registered to provide full day care between 9am and 3pm. It offers a Playgroup, and Funded Early Education for those entitled after the age of 3 years from January to July. Playgroup Plus(wraparound) cares for those children attending School Nursery classes. We also offer 30 hours scheme.
Happy days also run an After School Club and Holiday Club to offer flexible childcare provision.

Experience/Training/Qualifications: 1 staff member at NVQ Level 5 Early years childcare and management. & 2 staff members at NVQ Level 3 Early Years Childcare & Learning Development. All staff attend relevant, ongoing training courses in childcare including First Aid, Child Protection and Planning for Early Education.

We can provide wrap around care. Pick up at Penygelli School only. All welcome.

Playgroup from the age of 2.5yrs 9-11am. Early Education sessions from 3 yr old 9 -11am during Spring and Summer terms. Wraparound childcare for children of school nursery age 11.30am-3pm. Overall childcare hours 9am - 3pm.

  Our costs

  • £9.00 per Session - Playgroup session 9-11am
  • £12.00 per Session - Playgroup Plus session 11.30am -3pm
  • £23.00 per Session - Childcare session 9am - 3pm

We have the following additional costs :

  • £10.00 - Registration Fee ( for Playgroup Plus children only)
  • £0.50 - Snack ( for Early Education children only)
