Ty Seren - Family support services

What we do

Our family assessment centre, Ty Seren in Bridgend, provides residential parenting assessments of parent(s) and babies up to the age of 2.

These are led by our social workers, but supported by a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) including our own health visitor and key workers.  We can support up to 11 families.   We specialise in CUBAS parenting assessments.

Our aim is to help more families stay together when it is assessed as safe and in the best interests of the baby.   We support a range of family needs including single parents and couples.

Our service model tailors our support and monitoring to the assessed needs of each family at each stage of the placement (typically 14 weeks) and this includes high levels of dedicated 1:1 in-person and CCTV support at the start of the placement and as is required.

As a Welsh residential family centre, we provide a safe, secure, therapeutic and psychologically safe environment for families and a comprehensive Parenting Programme.
