Dear Albert Drug and Alcohol Helpline - Family support services

What we do

Dear Albert is a peer-led, Recovery focused social enterprise specialising in helping people resolve substance use issues. We have links with peer support fellowships such as Smart Recovery, ACT PR and 12 Steps. We work in close collaboration with statutory funded drug and alcohol agencies, private rehabs, local authorities to provide a full range of treatment choices and services. Our mission statement is to make recovery more visible, accessible and attainable for all.

We also provide a helpline to support clients and families address substance use. We work with clients and families (short to long term) to resolve resistance/ambivalence and increase motivation for change. We undertake assessments which enable us to support clients into an appropriate treatment programme and can also refer clients to a full choice of recovery focused treatment options.

Who do we support

Dear Albert supports anyone aged 18 or over impacted directly or indirectly by substance misuse. This includes the user, family and friends.
We welcome, support and inspire substance clients with SEND needs, such as mental health, emotional health, learning disabilities, behavioural difficulties and physical disabilities through the often challenging road to recovery.
